In 2012 the Nevada Microenterprise Initiative and the Nevada Women’s Business Center joined forces with the Nevada Small Business Development Center to provide a new NxLeveL curriculum,  NxLeveL for Micro Entrepreneurs. This 15–session course presents options and strategies for achieving self-sufficiency through self-employment, with an emphasis on learning and meeting professional standards for financial management, marketing and customer service. Whether participants wish to explore self-employment options or turn a hobby into a reliable income source NxLeveL’s practical “learn it today, use it tomorrow” approach will help them build a solid foundation for success.

About the Presenter:

Sandra Rentas es la Consultura Gerencial en español para el Centro de Desarrollo de Pequeños Negocios. Sus responsabilidades consisten en asistir a los clientes a comenzar, expandir y crecer sus negocios. Sandra nació y se crio en Ponce, Puerto Rico. Trabajó como gerente de compras para el negocio de su familia, ropa de mujer al detal. Sandra tiene una licenciatura en mercadeo de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico y una maestría en Economía de la Universidad de Nevada, Reno.

Sandra también es una instructora certificada del curso empresarial NxLevel. Cada semana conduce el programa radial Hablemos de Negocios y cada mes colabora con el Museo de arte de Nevada. Es parte del Gabinete de Asesores de Renown y la tesorera de la Asociación de Traductores e Intérpretes de Nevada.
