The presenter will help operational personnel, managers, lawyers, etc., stay on top of things that matter, particularly to small businesses involved in government contracts and subcontracts. Topics include legislative updates [e.g., 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Size Standards, and Congressional Small Business Committee: What’s on their radar] and updates on rules applicable to joint ventures, mentor-protege, subcontracting, cybersecurity, and domestic preferences. Having served in the past in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate general’s Corps (JAG), the presenter has been practicing in the areas of federal, state, and local government contracts across a broad range of matters that include contract negotiations, disputes, protests and claims.
