As a business owner, do you know what you can legally deduct from your taxes? For those who work from home, how much of your living space is legally deductible? Clothing, office equipment, transportation, education, technology – this list can be long, but it needs to be justified!

Business expenses are usually deductible if the business operates to make a profit. In this session, you will learn what kind of business expenses are deductible and the difference between personal and business expenses.

About the Presenter(s):

Szu-Ju Chang is an attorney with Nevada Legal Services' Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. She received her B.A. from the University of Tennessee and her J.D. and LLM from the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. In addition to her work as a public service attorney, Szu-Ju is also active in other non-profit organizations including the Asian American Advocacy Clinic and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
